Chris Smith wants CDC to release data that justifies COVID vaccines for schools

A senior House Republican today charged the Biden Administration with failing to disclose clinical data and trials to justify a Center for Disease Control recommendation to include COVID vaccines

Rep. Christopher Smith (R-Manchester) says that recommended changes to the 2023 school immunization schedule could lead to mandatory COVID vaccines for school entry.

“With the health and well-being of their children at stake, parents deserve the absolute truth and total transparency,” Smith said.  “Any CDC recommendation has powerful consequences and may indeed cause states to mandate child COVID shots as a prerequisite for attending school.  That would be outrageous.”

Smith wats to see the clinical trials that justified the CDC decision.

“Vaccines currently on the immunization schedule are proven to prevent an illness; this does not, stated Smith.  “Parents are rightly concerned about possible side-effects of the vaccine on their children’s health.”

According to Smith, the United Kingdom, Denmark and Sweden are “moving in the opposite direction and recommending that most children not get the vaccination due to low rates of COVID among children and deep concerns over possible serious side-effects.”
