Residents of the nation’s capital will be forced to wear a mask, show proof of vaccination and photo identification in order to leave their homes.
Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser (D) reminded citizens in a tweet posted Tuesday that the strict measures go into effect Saturday.
The hypocrisy of this decision is absurd considering residents of D.C. only need to show “a utility bill, bank statement, government check, or paycheck showing their name and address issued within the past 90 days” in order to participate in local, state and federal elections.
So, as the left cries “racism” when it comes to the security of our voting system, they completely turn their noses at mandating all citizens show identification just to leave their houses.
Since the Democrat party is so obsessed with the race card, it’s worth noting that the mayor’s new measures will likely pertain to minorities more than white citizens.
According to government data, 45% of white D.C. residents are fully vaccinated while only 40% of black D.C. residents are fully vaccinated.
Will left-wing media outlets report on the fact that more than half of Washington D.C.’s black citizens will not be allowed to leave home come Saturday?
Don’t count on it.
